Job description

Title: Medical Office Specialist

Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Medical Office Specialist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to be cross-trained in three essential functions: Check-in, Rooming, and Check-out. The position involves interacting directly with patients in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, providing a dynamic and engaging experience. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to work in a patient-facing role and gain a variety of skills within a medical office environment!

Day to Day:

  • Check-in: Greet patients with a warm, friendly attitude; collect demographics, verify insurance, and set expectations for wait times.
  • Rooming: Ask scripted intake questions regarding medical and medication history.
  • Check-out: Assist patients by walking them to the check-out station, reviewing the encounter sheet with the physician/APP, and ensuring next steps (appointments, tests, referrals) are scheduled.
  • Rotate weekly between these responsibilities, providing variety and a dynamic workday.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Job stability is a must (no frequent job changes).

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
