Job description

Position Title: Medical Front Desk Coordinator
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM



Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Coordinator for our Nephrology clinic. This role is fundamental to our operations, focusing primarily on patient check-in and check-out procedures, as well as handling insurance and authorization tasks.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Assist with insurance verification and authorization, with training provided.
  • Answer incoming calls and schedule patient appointments.
  • Support daily operations during busy periods, accommodating approximately 30-35 patients.
  • May be required to travel to the clinic in Orange if additional staffing support is needed; mileage will be reimbursed.


Qualifications:

  • Some experience in a medical front office setting is preferred; candidates should be aware of the competitive pay scale.
  • Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
  • A Medical Assistant diploma is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Athena software is an advantage.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is strongly preferred.
