Job description

Medix is seeking friendly Medical Front Desks for a hospital in the Springfield, MO (65804) area!

Responsibilities:

  • ER setting - greeting patiens while collecting accurate patient data at the bedside.
  • Scheduling, registration, benefit verification, pre-certification and financial clearance including pre-visit collection.
  • WILL be on your feet a lot!
  • Help patients understand their insurance benefits and educate them on their financial responsibilities.
  • Able to discuss payment options and assistance, as necessary
  • Will be responsible for ensuring that the most accurate patient data is obtained and populated into the patient record.
  • These coworkers provide services consisting of registration, financial clearance and partner with other departments to provide knowledgeable clerical support and much more.

Must Have skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Great tenure
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer systems

Schedules/ Shifts:

  • Multiple different shifts avaialble including FT and PT. Please note that even if you are a PT employee, the first 2 weeks you will work a full time schedule M-F 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM (No exceptions unfortunately!)

    • Both Part Time and Full Time Shifts avaialble, Days or overnights (12 Hours)
      • 5:30p - 6a (FT - 12 hour shifts)
      • 6a-5:30p day shift (FT - 12 hour shift)
      • 7:30a-6p / 6a-5:30p (PT - 12 hour shifts)
      • 5:30p-6a / 8:30p-1:30a (PT - 12 hour shifts)

Pay: $15.00/hr
