Job Description:

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient service while managing front desk operations efficiently. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule patient appointments while relaying necessary messages to staff and providers.
  • Greet patients courteously as they sign in and out of the office.
  • Record and verify necessary patient information to maintain accurate records.
  • Answer phone calls, screen calls, and take messages in a polite and prompt manner.
  • Maintain and update physician schedules to ensure accurate patient scheduling.
  • Assist patients in completing necessary forms and documentation.
  • Collect payments for co-pays and outstanding balances.
  • File charts and paperwork into designated areas to ensure efficient record-keeping.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and waiting area.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of patient medical records and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or front desk setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations is a plus.

Job Type: Full time

Compensation: $18-20 hourly (depending on experience)

Hours: 40 hours/week - Mon-Fri between the hours of 8am-5-pm

Location: Sewickley PA 15143

Start Date: ASAP

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
