Schedule/Shift:
Training will be 7:00-3:30 with a 30 minute lunch for the first 2 weeks of their assignment
Can start between 7:30-8:30am and work 8 hours with a 30 min or 1 hour lunch after training period
Key Points:
-6 openings on this team
-KPIs and Metrics: After probationary period (90 days), will be responsible for tracing 40 claims per day and partially working/adjudicating 60 claims per day.
-Candidates will work onsite in the San Antonio office. As a contractor, they must work onsite each day. As of right now, their entire team has been brought back 100% onsite due to not hitting their collections goal. If they are able to turn things around in the next several months, they will begin offering remote and hybrid work to teammates again - please note this is at the discretion of Stephanie (Hiring Manager) and April (Director of RCM). A hybrid schedule is a privilege, not a right, and this needs to be very clear to all candidates.
-Looking for candidates with a strong collections background - preferably in dental, but medical can work as well, with a strong understanding of both commercial and government insurances.
-Finding a candidate that is tech savvy, as SB is still utilizing paper charts, and are working to convert to fully digital in coming months. They are close to utilizing Dentrix Ascend in their local market. Having someone who is comfortable with both and can ramp up quickly is helpful.
-Knowledge of CDT codes and terminology is important, as is being able to work independently with minimal distractions (someone that is motivated and a self-starter)
Shift: start time is flexible (most start at 7am) and they can choose between a 30 min and hour long lunch. They must log an 8 hour shift. IMPORTANT: currently they are requiring overtime of 5 hours per week. We are confirming if this will apply to temps as well***
Formal JD:
-Managing the workflow of assigned claims and meeting deadlines for filing to obtain maximum reimbursements
-Monitoring claims activity for timely payment from all payers
-Understanding and staying informed of changes with procedures, billing guidelines and laws for specific insurance carriers or payers
-Conducting full patient account audits to determine appropriate action
-Review accounts for major treatment requiring additional documentation. Process insurance billing for completed treatment
What We Need From You:
-2+ year's recent collections experience in a dental or medical setting.
-Knowledge of CDT Coding and Terminology.
-Ability to read dental radiographs, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel a plus.
-Knowledge of dental/medical industry and insurance plans (i.e. HMO, PPO, and Discount Plans) is required.
-Must possess excellent customer service skills.
-Team member must be detail oriented, organized and work with little supervision.

Selling Points:
-Opportunity for remote or hybrid schedule in the future after the team hits goal. Please note this is not promised and is at the discretion of Stephanie and April on a case by case basis with employees. They are only eligible for this scenario once goal is hit and when they are converted to FTEs
BONUS:
-When hitting goal and after converted to an FTE, the collectors are eligible for a bonus of $400 per month. IF we are to break this down to an hourly rate, it's worth about $2.50 more per hour, which could be a great selling point for talent.
-Growth opportunities - Smile Brands now owns over 700 dental practices and wants to continue to expand their footprint. -There are always growth opportunities with other lanes and in collections/RCM as well
