Title - Medical Collections and Billing Representative

Pay range - 18 to 22 an hour based on prior experience

Fully onsite opportunity in Chicago, zip code 60629

Shift - Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm

Qualifications:

- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish

- 1 to 2 years of healthcare collections, billing, payment posting, charge entry or claims experience

Job Description:

• This individual will responsible for following up on claims regarding: group health, workers comp, personal injuries, medicare/medicaid and several applicable claims. They may have to speak with attorneys on personal injury patients.
• Responsibilities include reaching out to the payers and patients to collect on open claims ultimately to close the cycle of the patient account. This will be both through their EMR portal and via phone calls. As this individual will take phone calls, they are expected to be bilingual as the location services a large Hispanic population. They will be entering in charges, mailing paper claims, following up on claims status.
• They will need to be able to create their own appeal letters and write them.
