Job description

A large Revenue Cycle Mangement company is seeking experienced Emergency Department and Evaulation & Management Coders to join their team.

This is a 6 month, fully Remote project opportunity with Benefits, PTO, and equipment provided.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Review patient medical records and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
  • Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with insurance and regulatory guidelines (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA).
  • Submit coded claims to insurance companies and follow up on denials or discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • ED and/or EM Coding experience for both Pro-Fee & Facility charges
  • Infusions & Injections experience
  • Coding certification

Schedule:
Monday-Friday Flexible business hours

Pay:
$25-28 depending on experience

Benefits Provided by Medix:

Sick Pay: You will receive one day of Sick Time after working 600 hours and an additional day of Sick Time for every 300 hours after. **Please note that if you're in a city/state with unique PTO requirements, the city/state's policy will override Medix's internal PTO policy.
