Job description

Responsibilities

  • Seeking medical coder with experience in reviewing medical records for purposes of ICD-10-CM diagnostic coding and Risk Adjustment condition validation.
  • You will be responsible for searching for medical records in an EHR interface and identifying and coding chronic conditions and social determinants of health based on ICD-10 coding guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets of findings, including notes on any unique circumstances that may require further review.
  • Adhere with HIPAA privacy guidelines.
  • Ground coding in current ICD-10-CM guidelines, AHA Coding Clinics, and rules, and regulations related to Risk Adjustment and HCC coding.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Professional Coder or Certified Risk Adjustment credential from the AAPC
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding guidelines
  • Preference for experience in Risk Adjustment or HCC coding.
  • need 3-4 years of experience
