• Data Entry experience
• She doesn't want somebody that just graduated from billing and coding school
• Follow their own notes
• They want to work
• HS Diploma/GED

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Medical Billing Specialist you will…

• Post all cash- cash postings within 48 hours of receiving the batch to be processed.
• Follow proper procedures for posting manual cash.
• Follow proper procedures for posting electronic cash.
• Work unapplied cash and complete cash transfers.
• Review credit balances for appropriate application and resolution/refund.
• Process refund requests timely.
• Maintain proper filing procedures for completed cash.
• Scan all closed cash batches.
• Save all batches to the shared drive.
• Participate in separation of duties involved with incoming cash receipts.
• Log checks into system timely.
• Copy checks and scan into system.
• Complete adding tape for checks received.
• Download and gather all remits, store as necessary in designated electronic locations
• Communicate posting issues with Operations and copying aging & billing teams prior to closing batches
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment: This position is going to be ON SITE.
