Position:Associate Billing Representative Clerk

Location: Guilford, CT

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Billing Representative Clerk to join our Revenue Cycle department. In this role, you will be responsible for entering coded patient visits into our system, submitting claims to insurance companies, and working closely with our A/R collections team to resolve any claim rejections. You will play an essential part in our revenue cycle by ensuring accurate billing and timely submission of claims.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter charges from coded patient visits into internal systems and submit claims electronically or by paper.

• Prepare and complete claims for commercial insurance companies, third-party organizations, and government or self-payers.

• Optimize codes, make necessary adjustments, and ensure all information is correct before claim submission.

• Work on rejections in coordination with the A/R collections team and resolve them in a timely manner.

• Follow up on pending claims and work them to resolution.

• Review variance reports, identify trends, and report any discrepancies.

• Consistently meet or exceed defined performance metrics.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Minimum of one year of experience in medical billing.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology and medical coding.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Preferred:

• Associate Degree, diploma, or certification in medical billing & coding, healthcare management, or a related field.

• Two or more years of medical billing experience.

• Familiarity with HST software is a plus but not required.

Compensation: $20-24 (depending on experience)

Hours: Full time - Mon-Fri 8 hours daily

Location: Guilford, CT

Start Date: ASAP

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment.
