Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately entering medical billing data into review software. You will add, update, and maintain individual and group provider data.

Other responsibilities of the Medical Biller position include:

• Adding, updating, and reviewing manual claimant data
• Communicating with medical providers
• Obtaining needed information and resolving bill-specific issues
• Working in compliance with HIPAA and ARRA laws and regulations
• Participating in team meetings

Requirements As a Medical Billing Clerk you must be highly organized and able to multitask effectively. Qualified candidates are team players with excellent communication skills. You must be able to take direction well.Other requirements of the Biller position include:

• Entry level billing/coding experience (at least 6 months - 1 year)
• Previous medical, healthcare, and/or insurance experience
• Certification in a related field such as billing and coding, a plus
• Medical Billing Certification Preferred
