Job description

We are currently hiring a Medical Billing Specialist in Sewickley/Wexford, PA!

This person will be responsible for gathering information for billing using all applicable systems including practice management (PM) system, electronic medical records (EMR) system and online payer portals.

Title: Medical Billing Specialist

Location: Sewickley/Wexford area

Hours: M-F 8-4:30 PM

Pay: $19-21/hour

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform posting charges
  • Perform completion of claims to payers
  • Process claims
  • Resolve claim denials
  • Submit billing data to appropriate insurance providers for required prior authorizations
  • Maintains required billing records, reports, and files
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with all company and government policies and regulations

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

  • Electronic medical billing
  • Proficient with computer skills- computer programs, spreadsheets, and applications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of medical insurance
  • Medical office experience
