Job description

  • Dallas - Fort Worth candidates only
  • Remote
  • 5 month contract to hire position
  • $20.00 - $23.00 an hour (Based on experience/interview)

Qualifications

  • Great references from past employers and strong tenure
  • At least 3 years Medical Billing/Collections experience
  • Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of insurance claim submission processes and familiarity with various payer guidelines.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Day to day

  • Accurate data entry of information into the computer system
  • Provide reimbursement assistance to patients while providing superior customer service and respect to patients and their families
  • Timely and accurate filing and billing of all patient transactions
  • Work aging reports, pending claims appeals and research underpaid, overpaid and unpaid claims.
  • Call patients and insurance companies as needed regarding invoices and claims.
  • Responsible for entire billing process.
  • Review and appeal denied claims as necessary, adhering to deadlines and requirements.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of insurance regulations, billing guidelines, and coding updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and ensure compliance with payer requirements.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to billing and collections, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Follow appropriate HIPAA guidelines provide medical records to primary care provider, insurance carriers, referred providers and patients per patient request
