Job description

Job Title: Recovery Cycle Specialist

Location: Onsite in St. Louis, Missouri

Pay: $15/hr+

Position Overview:

As an extension to a company's Revenue Cycle Management Process, the Recovery Cycle

Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely management and payment of

medical bill submissions. This role involves managing and executing strategies to recover

outstanding payments, ensuring accuracy in billing and collections, and maintaining effective

communication with the payers to get recoveries for clients as quickly as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a book of billed case inventory and see each case to conclusion in a timely

manner.

  • Confirm receipt of bill submissions via phone and email, establishing 2-way communication

to appropriately update the status of the case.

  • Verify and update adjuster/payer information to maintain accurate records in the system.
  • Obtain and track payment status and expected payment amounts from payers.
  • Manage appeals and denials, where applicable, in an effort to get payments for clients.
  • Support specialist projects as needed, providing expertise and assistance in optimizing

recovery efforts.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all communications and actions taken on each case.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience in recovery cycle management preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze information and identify opportunities for resolution.
  • Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
