Job description
Job Overview:
We are hiring a Medical Biller to optimize revenue cycles for our healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:
Review patient information, medical records, and treatment documentation to accurately generate medical bills.
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients, including obtaining pre-authorizations and referrals as necessary.
Enter and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail, adhering to billing regulations and guidelines.
Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and underpayments, and work to resolve billing discrepancies and rejections.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff to clarify billing information and resolve any billing-related issues.
Maintain patient billing records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality policies.
Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare billing regulations, coding requirements, and insurance policies.
Hourly pay rate based on experience : $19 - $23
