Job description

FULLY REMOTE (Must live in either COLORADO OR ARIZONA - No exceptions)

This position involves coordinating and facilitating all insurance claim submissions, handling claim rejections, account refunds, complex adjustments, and collection activities. The role also includes posting denial and non-payment Explanations of Benefits (EOBs).

Medical Biller

Monday-Friday, flexible schedule start/end time - day shifts only

$18.50-21 (Higher rates considered with Lab RCM experience) paid sick time, medical,vision,dental benefits all equip included

Responsibilities:

  • Handle collection, submission, and rejection of insurance claims for all assigned accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of insurance payments and adjustments in line with departmental policies, procedures, and performance goals.
  • Utilize Accounts Receivable Aging Reports to track and maintain balances within management-prescribed ranges.
  • Research, resolve, and respond to all assigned insurance, regulatory, and patient correspondence promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate with insurance company personnel to resolve outstanding payment issues.
  • Ensure internal audits and quality controls comply with departmental policies, generally accepted accounting practices, and applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum qualifications:

- 2 years proven experience in healthcare collections/denials

- Strong understanding of insurance claims processes/regulations

- Faimilarily with AR aging reports and EOBS

- Live in either Colorado OR Arizona
