Job description
The Company:
- A tight-knit Dermatology practice in the South Dallas area
The Position:
- Medical Biller
- Hybrid (2-3 days in office); 5 months Contract to Hire
- Required: Medical AR experience in specialty practice setting working with 1500 claims
Overview
The biller will submit claims to payers. The biller will review claims to ensure their
accuracy, completeness and compliance with ICD 10 and CPT guidelines and MUE and
NCCE edits.
The biller will file corrected claims to address claim rejections and denials; and will prepare requests for reconsideration or appeals to address denied claims that are not resolved with a corrected claim. As part of that process, the biller will identify errors, discrepancies, or missing information within the claims documentation, working closely with the revenue cycle staff to correct any issues and improve overall claims processing efficiency.

Effective communication skills and a proactive approach are essential in this role to facilitate collaboration with other revenue cycle staff and uphold the highest standards of quality assurance in the claims processing workflow.
Qualifications
- CPC and/or CPC-A
- Working knowledge of an EMR system, preferably EMA
- Understanding of EOBs and MSNs
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience working for dermatology practices

- M - F; 8 AM to 5 PM
Pay Rate:
- $22-26 per hour
