Medix is hiring for a Medical Biller in the Liberty area! This is a fully onsite position!

Role Overview:

Making calls to insurance companies to do follow ups on denials (This is primary responsibility, will mainly be working denials)
Charge entry
Following up with the Doctor during charge review if notes made by the Doctor are unclear
They work with a large number of Medicare patients given they are a podiatry office
They will be in the same room as the two Senior Billers, they are available to help and shadow during training
Not held to any specific metric of how many charges to enter per day but they will be measured by observation

Schedule: M-F 8:00-5:00

Location: Liberty, MO

Requirements:

2+ years of Medical Billing Experience
Comfortable with charge entry, follow ups, denials, aging reports
Comfortable on the phone with insurance companies doing follow up, as well as comfortable on the phone with patients
