Medical Biller

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Biller to join the team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our patients. This is an onsite position and applicants must reside in Orange County, CA.

Specific Duties:

• Analyze and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents to verify accuracy of payments and denials.
• Facilitate appeals process by preparing and submitting appeals when necessary, ensuring adherence to deadlines and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure maximum reimbursement.
• Maintain a specialized focus within the billing department, including payment posting, surgery posting, and general billing tasks.
• Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, ensuring proper allocation and reconciliation.
• Handle surgical billing procedures, including coding and posting charges, and verifying insurance coverage for procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.

Must-Have Qualifications/:

Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience

IDC-10 knowledge

Experienced with reviewing refferals and pre-authorizations

Work Schedule:

Shift Start/End Time: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Work Location:

Onsite position; Laguna Hills, CA
