Medical Assistant - Women's Health

Medix is hiring for a Medical Assistant to support a Women's Health practice in Wellesley, MA!

Responsibilites:

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking patient history and vital signs.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Perform blood or fluid laboratory testing, collecting and labeling specimens.
• Administer medications, via injection or orally, as directed by the physician or nurse practitioner.
• Record pap smear and mammogram results, lab tests, injections, vaccines in the appropriate logs.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, and equipment as necessary, including sterilization following patient encounters.
• Order medical supplies as needed for the laboratory and examination rooms.
• Keep examination rooms clean and orderly per OSHA regulations.
• Assist the clinical staff as needed.
• Assist front desk as needed.
• Preparation of handouts, patient folders or scanning as needed.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings.

Schedule:

4 Days a Week: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm (with one rotating day off per week)

Requirements:

• 1+ Years of MA experience
• MA Diploma
• EMR Experience

Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent
