Job description

Certified Medical Assistant / Lab Technician


Pay Range: $43,680 - $58,240 per year

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (with two late nights per month ending at 7:30 PM).


Position Type: Direct Hire

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant / Lab Technician to join our healthcare team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work closely with providers, assist with patient care, and contribute to the daily operations of a dynamic clinic.

Essential Functions:

  1. Greet and room patients promptly and professionally, ensuring the highest level of care.
  2. Assist providers with in-office procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, and medication refills.
  3. Perform lab tests under the provider's direction, including chemical, microscopic, gynecologic, hematologic, parasitic, and bacteriologic tests.
  4. Run controls on equipment, perform daily temperature checks on refrigerators/freezers, and maintain control logs.
  5. Stock draw stations with phlebotomy and injection supplies.
  6. Address lab concerns, complaints, errors, or QA incidents by reporting to the Clinical Manager.
  7. Manage daily lab schedules, ensuring all specimens are appropriately handled and prepared for pickup.
  8. Order and maintain supply inventory for the clinic.
  9. Provide support at the front desk and scheduling areas as needed.
  10. Attend required meetings and support organizational goals and philosophies.
  11. Maintain confidentiality for patients and the company.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Drawing patient labs, collecting specimens, and processing them according to clinic standards.
  • Rooming patients, taking vitals, and charting in Athena EMR.
  • Supporting clinic operations with flexibility and teamwork.

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant diploma (Certification or Registration preferred).
  • BLS certification.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Blood draw experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Athena EMR or similar systems.
  • OBGYN or specimen processing experience.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to float between clinic locations as needed (within your territory).
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities.

Clinic Locations:

Territory 1: Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Waconia, Chaska

Territory 2: Maple Grove, Blaine, and Plymouth.
