Job description

Job Title: Clinical Care Assistant

Location: Apple Valley, MN

Pay Rate: $18 - $24 per hour

Position Summary: Join our team in Apple Valley, MN, as a Clinical Care Assistant and play a vital role in providing patient care at our state-of-the-art clinic. This position offers full-time opportunities with a flexible schedule, and we will also have part-time evening and weekend vaccine clinics available if a full-time role isn't suitable for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and document necessary visit information, including vitals such as height, weight, and blood pressure.
  • Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by clinicians, RNs, or standing orders.
  • Assist with various procedures and treatments, including ear lavage, EKGs, and bladder scans.
  • Ensure all components of the rooming process are completed, including medication reconciliation, allergy review, immunization reconciliation, and necessary forms and questionnaires.
  • Maintain knowledge and comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program with current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): High school diploma or GED with current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Additional: EPIC experience and pediatric experience are preferred.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Pediatrics: 7 AM - 4 PM or 8 AM - 5 PM with Tuesdays off. No weekends.
  • Family Practice: 7 AM - 4 PM or 8 AM - 5 PM with Thursdays off.
  • Flexible Options: Opportunities to pick up shifts on days off in other areas.
