Medix is hiring for an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join a clinic specializing in the Medicare Advantage population. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in patients' lives in a dynamic and supportive clinic setting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient intake, including measuring and recording vital signs, patient interviews, and medical history documentation.
• Perform examinations and routine screenings, ensuring patients are informed and all questions or concerns are addressed.
• Engage with patients throughout appointments, listening attentively and reporting changes in their conditions to primary care providers or other clinical staff.
• Process patient phone messages, including returning calls, routing messages, and obtaining or relaying information for physicians.
• Administer first aid under physician supervision, such as changing dressings, applying bandages, removing sutures, and using CPR as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and maintain accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.

Details:

• Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Pay: $19-$23/hour
• Dress Code: Scrubs

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a patient-focused mindset.

Contract Details:

• 880 hours on contract with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position.
