Medix is hiring for a full time Medical Assistant for a front and back office position in a busy clinic setting. Located in Lexington, KY. Monday-Friday, day shift, no weekends or holidays!

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years of Medical Assistant experience
• Phlebotomy and lab experience required
• Experience with injections preferred
• HS Diploma or GED required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule patient appointments and manage check-in/out.
• Answer calls, check messages, and monitor patient flow.
• Assist with evaluations, take vitals, and perform drug screens.
• Input patient data and review the Prescription Monitoring Database.
• Call in medications and handle prior authorizations.
• Manage payments, cash collection, and verify benefits.
• Provide medication education and resources.
