Medix is looking to hire a Medical Assistant to join a well-established oncology practice in Laguna Hills, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Verify patient eligibility and insurance benefits.
• Process prior authorizations and handle insurance-related tasks.
• Take and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.).
• Perform blood draws (phlebotomy) as needed.
• Administer injections following provider instructions.
• Assist in ensuring a clean and organized clinical environment.

Requirements / Experience:

• Experience with EMR systems (Onco EMR preferred).
• Knowledge of insurance verification, eligibility, and authorizations.
• Proficiency in scheduling and front desk operations.
• Phlebotomy certification (preferred but not required).
• Must be highly proficient in blood draws.
• Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday 8:00-5:00 pm

Pay range:

$21-22/hr BOE
