Medical Assistant - Clinic
Job description
Medix is hiring a Medical Assistant for a clinic in the Lee's Summit, MO 64086 area!
Overview:
This is a back office MA mostly. MAs will send patients to infusion chairs to take vitals there (put in IVs), but also rooming patients like normal on the exam side!
- Need to be comfortable with charting for doctors - EMR is Cerner (do not have to have Cerner experience)
- Clean and stock around clinic (cleaning chairs/rooms before and after patients), keep inventory on supplies (not ordering, but just managing)
- Not required to draw blood, but nice to have
- Working with lab draws - documenting and taking to bins / calling patients with lab results
- Volume - busy, 30-45 patients a day
- There are 2 other MAs, and they all support each other with all the providers
3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications
- Need High school and MA diploma
- At least 1 year of MA experience (they would like clinic vs hospital, but not required)
- Flexible and jumping in as needed with both sides of the clinic
Location: Lee's Summit, MO 64086
Schedule: M-F 8:30a-5p, 30 min lunch
Scrubs: Reimbursed for 2 pairs of scrubs
