Job description

Medix is looking to hire a Front and Back Office Medical Assistant to join a private Pediatric Practice in Los Angeles, CA 90004. The practice offers a full range of pediatric care including prenatal visits for expecting parents, well-child check-ups, immunizations and sick appointments.


Front office duties including but not limited to:

  • Welcoming guests and checking them in and out during their visit
  • Verifying patient demographics and ensuring their files are up-to-date in the system
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Collecting co-payments, when applicable
  • Obtaining referrals
  • Scanning and filing paperwork
  • Ensuring the reception area is clean and organized
  • Providing exceptional customer service at all times, in person and over the phone

Back office duties including but not limited to:

  • Recording vital signs and chief complaints
  • Performing hearing and vision tests, and suture removal
  • Administering vaccine and immunization injections
  • Ensuring the examination rooms are clean and ready for the next patient
  • Restocking the stations as needed
  • Ensuring the patients are comfortable and at ease during their visit
  • Assisting the providers as needed

Requirements / Experience

  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate
  • Passion for working with children
  • Professional demeanor at all times


  • Monday- Friday (flexible start time between 7:30 - 9:00 am)
