Job Posting: Gastroenterology Medical Assistant
Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Gastroenterology Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Manchester, New Hampshire. In this role, you will work as a key member of our care team to provide comprehensive support to patients with conditions such as irritable bowel disease, Crohn's, colitis, esophageal motility issues, pelvic floor problems, and Hepatitis C. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Medical Assistant who is passionate about patient care and looking to make a difference in a specialty setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Duties:

    • Rooming patients and preparing them for consultation

    • Reviewing medication lists with patients

    • Taking vital signs

    • Assisting with video capsule procedures

    • Potentially removing surgical or wound dressings

    • Assisting patients and relaying provider information

    • Occasional triage based on certification/license scope

  • Administrative Duties:

    • Answering clinical phone calls and addressing patient inquiries

    • Scheduling patient appointments

    • Managing inventory of medical supplies

    • Submitting prior authorizations as needed

    • Handling faxes and other paperwork

    • Limited check-in and check-out duties

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to relay information clearly to patients

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
