Job description

Location: Kalamazoo, MI & surrounding areas
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM (Tuesdays start at 8:00 AM in-office)
Travel Required: Up to 150 miles/day (mileage reimbursement provided)


Position Overview

As a Clinical Partner (Medical Assistant), you will travel to patient homes to assist with telehealth visits and in-person care, supporting Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Primary Care Physicians. This role is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, patient, and passionate about senior care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel daily to patient homes to assist with telehealth visits and provide in-person care
  • Set up laptops, iPads, or patient devices for virtual appointments
  • Perform vitals, phlebotomy (venipuncture), and lab draws
  • Assist clinicians with patient assessments and minor procedures
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA standards
  • Drive company car (if provided) or personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement available)
  • Maintain medical supplies, patient records, and equipment
  • Collaborate with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and healthcare teams
  • Participate in weekly team meetings (Tuesdays in-office)

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) OR at least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Strong phlebotomy skills (venipuncture only)
  • Comfort with technology - EMR systems, GPS, iPads, laptops, telehealth platforms
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (up to 150 miles/day travel)


Additional Role Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and assist with patient mobility
  • Comfortable driving long distances in urban and rural areas
  • Willingness to enter various home environments, including those with pets
