Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Interaction:
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take patient histories and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, weight).
- Prepare patients for examinations and ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and minor procedures.
- Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and medications as directed by providers.
Clinical Procedures & Assistance:
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform phlebotomy as needed.
- Assist with minor office-based procedures, including wound care and suture removal.
- Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and follow infection control protocols.
- Conduct laboratory tests as directed, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and assist in follow-up care.
Medical Documentation & Administrative Support:
- Accurately document patient interactions, vitals, and test results in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Maintain and update patient records, including referrals and follow-up instructions.
- Assist with patient chart preparation and ensure accurate coding for billing purposes.
Infection Control & Safety Compliance:
- Follow strict infection control guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Maintain medical supplies and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and workplace safety.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding appointments, test results, and medical instructions.
- Assist with scheduling, verifying patient information, and processing insurance forms as needed.
Requirements:
? Education & Certification:
- Must have a Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program.
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
? Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Compensation: $20-24 hourly (depending on experience)
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
