Job description

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and dependable Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join our Family Medicine team in Seattle. This role will involve rooming patients, administering immunizations, processing referrals and prior authorizations, managing the in-basket, and supporting overall clinic operations. The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication and teamwork skills is essential for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Rooming: Efficiently room patients and prepare them for their appointments.
  • Immunizations: Administer immunizations as needed and document appropriately in the patient's records.
  • Referrals: Assist in processing patient referrals to specialists and coordinating any necessary follow-ups.
  • Prior Authorizations: Manage prior authorization requests for services, ensuring they are processed timely and efficiently.
  • In-Basket Management: Handle the MA in-basket to ensure communication is streamlined and follow-up tasks are completed promptly.
  • EKG and Lab Draws: Perform basic EKGs, lab draws, and ensure proper specimen handling and documentation.
  • Scribe and Documentation Support: Assist with scribing during patient visits and ensure accurate documentation of patient charts in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Patient Coordination: Coordinate care for patients across various providers, including scheduling appointments and managing follow-up calls.
  • Clinic Support: Assist with ensuring clinic supplies are stocked, sterile, and organized for patient visits and procedures.

Requirements:

  • MA-C certification in Washington State (required)
  • Strong time management and attendance record.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system is required.

Shift Times:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Pay:

$24-29 an hour (Depending on experience)
