Job description

We are seeking a dependable and patient-centered Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join our Family Medicine/Internal Medicine practice. In this role, you will be responsible for rooming patients, administering immunizations, processing referrals and prior authorizations, and managing the in-basket. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and teamwork will be essential to your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Rooming Patients: Efficiently room patients for appointments, take vitals, and prepare patients for their visits.
  • Immunizations: Administer immunizations as needed and ensure proper documentation.
  • Referrals and Prior Authorizations: Assist in processing patient referrals and obtaining prior authorizations for necessary services.
  • In-Basket Management: Manage and prioritize the MA in-basket to ensure efficient communication and follow-up.
  • Patient Care Support: Provide excellent patient care by maintaining a positive, flexible, and patient-centered approach.
  • Clinic Operations: Assist with the smooth daily operations of the clinic, managing patient flow, and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with physicians, providers, and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care and smooth clinic operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 6 months of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) preferred.
  • Certification: Must hold a current Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) certification in Washington State.
  • EPIC Experience: Experience using EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system is required.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a focus on excellent patient care.
  • Teamwork: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with all clinic staff.

Shift Times:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Pay:

$24-29 an hour (Depending on experience)
