Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team in a fast-paced medical office. As an MA, you will be responsible for rooming patients, managing in-basket messages, taking vitals, scheduling surgeries, and assisting with supply stocking in the clinic. Your ability to work collaboratively with providers and surgical teams, while maintaining organization and efficiency, will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Room Patients: Efficiently room patients, take vitals, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
  • In-Basket Management: Manage patient messages and communications, including responding to inquiries and coordinating with the physician as needed.
  • Surgery Scheduling: Schedule surgical procedures, ensuring optimal coordination and smooth operation.
  • Supply Stocking: Ensure that exam rooms are fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to maintain smooth clinic operations.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with surgeons and other team members, assisting in any way necessary to maintain a seamless workflow.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: Must hold either an MA-R or MA-C certification.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar medical assistant role with surgical scheduling and patient rooming is preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Positive attitude and professionalism.
    • Ability to arrive on time, be prepared, and work effectively in a team.
    • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
    • Capability to work efficiently alongside surgeons and other medical professionals.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Days of the Week: Monday - Friday.
  • Shift Times: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (depending on the schedule).

Pay:

$24-29 an hour (Depending on experience)
