Medical Assistant

Happy Valley, OR 97086

Multiple Pediatric Primary Care Clinics in Happy Valley are looking for Medical Assistants to join their team.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to examination rooms, obtain vital signs, review and reconcile pertinent patient information and history in preparation for appointment with the provider.
  • Administer diagnostic tests and physician-approved procedures, such as immunizations and others as assigned
  • Successfully collaborate and work in support of the team to ensure efficient and quality patient care
  • Update the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) with relevant information.
  • Successfully work in a fast-paced, changing environment. with effective time management and ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Schedule patient appointments, answer the telephone, and follow-up with patients/families in a professional and courteous manner
  • Participate in site-specific and clinic-wide initiatives on an ongoing basis
  • Attend and actively participate in huddles and team meetings
  • Always maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information
  • Sustain excellent patient interactions using clear communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain acceptable standards of office conduct
  • Punctual, regular, timely, and dependable attendance

Requirements:

  • Immunization Experience
  • Certified MAs
    • AAMA, NCCT, RMA, NHA, etc.
    • Accepting EMT's
  • 1+ Years Experience (preferred)
  • EMR Experience (Preferred EPIC)
  • BLS Certification

Additional Skills:

  • Blood Draw Experience
  • Team Player, Flexibility

Schedule/Shift:

  • Happy Valley
    • 8 AM - 5:30 PM (4 9's) - Variable Days of the Week
    • 40-36 Hours
  • Rotating Weekends AFTER ~ 6 months- Typically 1-2 weekend days per month

Contract Length:

1040 Hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.

Pay:

$19 - $24.04 an hour (Dependant on experience)
