Job description

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and assist with check-in procedures

- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and other patient information

- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment

- Assist healthcare providers with patient exams and procedures

- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers

- Perform basic laboratory tests and maintain accurate records of test results

- Answer patient questions and provide education on medical conditions and treatments

- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits

- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

- Perform other administrative tasks as needed, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program

- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred

- Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control procedures, and basic anatomy and physiology
