Job description

Hiring Medical Assistant in Mount Laurel, NJ!

Join our dynamic Family Medicine team as a Medical Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. We're looking for a dedicated professional with a national certification who can seamlessly navigate both medical and clerical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Key

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, patient history, and chief complaints. Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed.
  • Clerical Duties: Manage patient check-ins and appointments using the EPIC system, verifying demographics and insurance information. Ensure accurate documentation in our EMR system.
  • Insurance Verification: Confirm patient insurance benefits and handle precertification as necessary, ensuring smooth processing for all services provided.
  • Patient Interaction: Handle patient calls and relay important information to physicians. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Keep exam rooms stocked and organized, manage medical supply inventory, and maintain medical waste logs according to regulations.
  • Compliance & Communication: Adhere to compliance standards, maintaining professionalism and clear communication with the team and patients.

Qualifications:

  • Must-Have Skills:
    • National CMA Certification
    • Proven reliability and a strong initiative
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Nice-to-Have Skills:
    • Familiarity with Epic software
    • Family medicine practice
    • Dependable and punctual
    • Proactive approach to problem-solving
    • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team
