Job description

The Medical Assistant Certified I works closely with a team of providers and advanced providers to ensure the delivery of high quality, patient-centered care. The MAC I is responsible for timely and efficient patient interaction as well as assisting with exams, procedures, and tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider in a Medical Home environment.

  • MAs in Primary Pediatric Care
  • Providers see anywhere from 15 patients (slow providers) 25 patients (busy providers)
  • Typical MA 1-1 per provider BUT each clinic has additional MAs (floats in one location)
    • Floats cover call outs
    • There as backup for busy providers covering breaks and lunches for other MA
    • Step in if an appointment takes a bit longer
  • Rooming patients
  • Full vitals
  • Well Visits and Acute visits
  • Form or questionnaires that families fill out
  • MA assists with any procedures as needed
  • MA ends appointment, many end with vaccines or blood draws
  • Point of Care testing
  • Blood Draws and Immunizations

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications
  • Immunization Experience
  • Certified MAs
    • AAMA, NCCT, RMA, NHA, etc.
  • 1+ Years Experience (Not a hard stop)
  • EMR Experience (Preferred EPIC)
  • BLS Certification
Schedule/Shift

8:00 AM - 6:30PM (4 10's) - Variable Days of the Week

Full Time 40 Hours

Rotating Weekends AFTER CONVERSION - Typically 1-2 weekend days per month
