Job Responsibilities:

Prepping injectables for physcians
Initiate patient evaluation, documenting the chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, past surgeries, all medications, and all pertinent ocular findings accurately in accordance with compliance guidelines.
Perform pre-exam testing including visual acuity assessment, tonometry, pupillary dilation, and other patient services as requested by the physician.
Setup for procedures including intravitreal injections, which requires pulling the drug, documenting in E.H.R. lot number, expiration date, and other pertinent drug data.
Clean surgical instruments in preparation for sterile processing.
Conduct inventory of instrument supply as directed.
Assist with maintenance of clinical exam equipment as directed.
Order clinical supplies as directed.
Open and close exam and injection rooms.
Assist in photography if trained to do so.

Job Requirements:

Outstanding interpersonal skills and a neat, professional appearance are mandatory.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent typing skills and previous electronic health record experience such as EPIC, Nextgen, etc.
Previous medical office clinical experience and previous ophthalmology experience preferred.
