Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Medical Assistant for our transformative health and support center.

Pay Rate: $18.50-$20/hr

Locations:

  • Monday and Tuesday at the Galax clinic
  • Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the Dublin clinic
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8-4:30

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling patient appointments.
  • Answering in-coming calls and checking voice messages regularly.
  • Check patients in/out, monitor patient flow.
  • Perform urine drug screens, takes vitals, assist with patient evaluations.
  • Call in patient medication as directed by Physician.
  • Sending prior-authorizations to insurance companies.
  • Responsible for cash collection and verification of benefits.
  • Review the Prescription Monitoring Database.
  • Conduct blood draws.

Must Have:

  • MA experience
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification
