Job description

Overview:

  • Experience: At least 2+ years, comfortable working in a Urology Clinic

    • Preferred: 3-5+ years, IM, subcutaneous injections, and catheter experience

    • Athena EMR would also be a plus
  • Pay: $16-$21 - based on experience

  • Daily Duties: triage, minor in-office procedures (vasectomies, circumcisions, etc.), medications, bladder exams/interventions, authorizations, buckets. Potentially will cross train to the front, but not of urgent need right now

  • Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm

  • 2 providers

  • Soft Skills: outgoing, team-player

  • Dress Code: grey scrubs or solid dark color

  • Interviews: in-person at the New Braunfels or San Marcos locations

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma/GED required with completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
  • Required: Medical Assistant and CPR certification required
  • Required: Must have a MA diploma or national certification

Responsibilities

  • Medical office position responsible for providing direct nursing care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician, assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice
  • Assists in the assessment of patient needs and health plan
  • Completes all necessary documentation in the patient's medical record in accordance with practice's charting policy
  • Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams and medical procedures
  • Arranges for specialized consultations and appointments for testing as ordered by the physicians

Pay Range (Based On Experience) $17/hr-$21/hr + Full Time Benefits
