Medical Assistant
Job description
Medix is hiring for a Certified Medical Assistant for a Family Practice in the KCMO (64155) area!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensures efficient patient flow by rooming patients in a timely manner and assisting the provider with staying timely on their schedule
- Delivers an exceptional patient experience, and helps patients prepare for their provider visit
- Rooming patients - 20 mins to room, screening questions, vitals, lab work if needed (A1C in the moment), etc.
- Obtains vital signs, chief complaint and reviews medications
- Delivers patient screenings per protocols
- Etc.
Education and Experience:
- Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association
- Medical Assistant certification or registration
- Talent needs to be able to take a manual blood pressure.
- EMR experience required - any EMR
- Basic office skills, patient centered mindset, excellent time management and organization skills; ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a-5p
Setting: Clinic
Pay Range: $16.00-$25.00/hr
