Are you a Certified Medical Assistant looking for your next opportunity to expand your skill set in your field? Medix is hiring for a Medical Assistant position in Mclean, VA!
Job Overview:
- Support physicians and nurses during orthopedic and cardiology procedures and examinations
- Take vital signs, document medical histories, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed for patient appointments
- Provide clear explanations of procedures, medications, and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Under physician supervision, carry out basic medical tasks such as wound care, suture removal, and EKGs
- Ensure examination rooms and medical equipment are clean and functional
- Coordinate patient appointments and referrals between the orthopedic and cardiology department
- Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism, providing excellent customer service
- Assist with medical record management, insurance verification, and billing tasks as needed
What We're Looking for:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, competition of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Certification (CMA or RMA) is a plus
- Experience in orthopedics or cardiology
- Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and prioritize tasks effectively
