Job description

Are you in the job market? Medix is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant for a growing healthcare practice in Mclean, VA!

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

Pay: $20-$21

Job Overview:

  • Support physicians and nurses during orthopedic and cardiology procedures and examinations
  • Take vital signs, document medical histories, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed for patient appointments
  • Provide clear explanations of procedures, medications, and post-treatment care instructions to patients
  • Under physician supervision, carry out basic medical tasks such as wound care, suture removal, and EKGs
  • Ensure examination rooms and medical equipment are clean and functional
  • Coordinate patient appointments and referrals between the orthopedic and cardiology department
  • Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism, providing excellent customer service
  • Assist with medical record management, insurance verification, and billing takss as needed

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, competition of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Certification (CMA or RMA) is a plus
  • Experience in orthopedics or cardiology
  • EMR Experience
