Medical Assistant

Medix is hiring a Medical Assistant for a local Full time contract to hire position within a multispecialty care clinic in Greenwood, IN. This opportunity offers a fast-paced environment that values teaching/learning new skills and is searching for passionate healthcare professionals to join and grow with their team!

Schedule: M-F (8am - 5pm)
Specialties: Multi-Specialty, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Sleep, OBGYN, Pediatrics, etc.
Location: Greenwood, IN
Length: Contract to Hire

Pay Rate: $17.50 - $22.50 /hr

Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

• Checking patients in/out for appointments and triaging as needed, answering medication questions, reaching out for follow up testing, assisting with prescription refills, and answering phone calls
• Assisting physicians in minor procedures such as pap smears, staples/sutures, BP monitoring, physicals, splints, helping prepare for surgical procedures, etc.
• Administering and assisting in POC testing, injections, vaccinations, and collecting of specimens
• Stocking inventory, cleaning and preparing patient rooms, rooming of patients and updating patient demographics.

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Medical Assisting Diploma is required
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Capable of adapting to a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn
