Job description

  • Will be doing about 70% DPC, 30% administrative duties
  • Duties include: Chart prep, rooming patients, vitals, med history, x-rays, castings (on and off), will be trained on custom casting for molding of braces, wound care, sutures & staples, changing of wound dressings, etc.
  • After 1 year of proven work ethic, performance, etc. Podiatry Associates will pay for the MA to become certified in podiatric imaging **Selling point, growth of skills to operate X-RAY machine & have education paid for
  • Administrative duties will include charting, shoe ordering, requesting of medical records, prior authorizations, etc.
  • Can expect 15-20 patients/day
  • Team size & set up: 2 Providers (Rotate days, only 1 in per day), 1 Receptionist, 1 MA (hiring for a 2nd), 1 Site Facilitator
  • EMR: iSalus (This is not a common EMR, but if they have general experience working within an EMR system, they will catch on easily)
  • Looking for 6 months experience minimum - MA's need to have worked within an EMR before, have some light experience with the process of rooming patients
  • Certification would be a bonus, but not a hard line in the sand

Schedule:

  • Mon: 730AM - 530PM
  • Tues: 930AM - 530PM
  • Weds: 10AM - 530PM
  • Thurs & Fri: 730AM - 4PM
  • *Can have some wiggle room/flexibility with the schedule if needed
