Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Medical Assisstant, Patient Care Technician, or an Ophthalmic/Optometric Technician to join our team as a Ophthalmic/Optometric Technician! The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you will work closely with our optometrists and ophthalmologists to maintain the highest standards of service for our patients!

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) effectively.
- Conduct thorough patient workups, including gathering medical history and performing preliminary tests.
- Perform visual acuity tests to evaluate patients' vision.
- Measure intraocular pressure (IOP) to assess eye health.
- Conduct fundus exams and cataract evaluations.
- Perform comprehensive vision exams and refractions.
- Assist with minor in-office procedures.
- Refer patients to Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) for major procedures.
- Manage a high volume of patients efficiently.

Schedule:

- General working hours are between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM, with patient schedules varying slightly. Wednesdays typically start earlier.
