Job description

We are hiring for a Medical Assistant to join our team in the Mount Vernon, NY area. We are seeking candidates who are professional, reliable, and match the listed qualifications below.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30a-5:00p

Job Type: Contract to hire

Job Title: Medical Assistant

Pay: $20-23/hr

Available Location(s): Mount Vernon, NY (if you can float to Spring Valley, NY on some days, it is a plus but not a requirement)

Overview

  • Assist physicians with patient care.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Perform vital signs and other assessments as directed by physician and manager.
  • Maintain patient records and charts.
  • Assist with minor surgical procedures.
  • Provide assistance to patients in the OB/GYN setting.
  • Checking patients in/out, scheduling appointments, etc.

Requirements:

  • Phlebotomy Experience
  • Certified MA or Diploma
  • EMR Experience

Preferences:

  • Customer Service Experience
  • Experience with Athena
  • OB/GYN Experience
