A Spine and Pain Management Clinic is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting with all functions associated with the front office and as a member of the patient care team. These duties include scheduling, coordinating patient services, performing check-in procedures, patient preparation, recording vitals and medical history, instrument care and a variety of front office tasks in a clinical setting. The employee must be an effective communicator in written and verbal communication and have the ability to work effectively with medical staff, authorizations, external agencies and patients.

Day-to-Day

• This is with their pain specialist Dr. Batta. Dr. Batta does office visits, interventional pain injections and chronic pain to include UDS. Running the clinic with the provider, taking in patients, vital signs, putting into the system
• Sometimes put in orders for patients for MRIs
• 1:1 with the Provider
• 90% MA duties, 10% Admin
• 4 days clinic with 1 day admin. Position travels between Gig Harbor and Silverdale
• NO blood draws, they will take urine samples and oral swabs for UDS
• Admin days - days that they are not rooming because another MA would be rooming, they will be prepping the clinic, grabbing medical records / imaging, medication prior authorizations, answering phones and messages and some duties as assigned

Schedule

• Position travels between Gig Harbor and Silverdale
• 7:30/8AM - 4:30PM

• Mon: Gig Harbor
• Tues: Gig Harbor
• Weds: Silverdale
• Thurs: Gig Harbor
• Fri: Gig Harbor or Silverdale

Pay:

$21 - $25 an hour (Dependant on experience)
