Job description

Job Posting: Medical Assistant - Vision and Drug Testing (4-6 week contract)

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on conducting vision screenings and drug tests for employees to support health and safety compliance and overall workplace well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vision screenings for employees during pre-employment assessments and routine health checks.
  • Administer drug testing following established protocols to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate records of all tests conducted, including results and required follow-ups.
  • Handle medical specimens carefully, adhering to strict labeling, storage, and transportation procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and organized testing environment in compliance with infection control and safety standards.
  • Communicate test procedures and results professionally and sensitively.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling, updating health records, and reporting test outcomes.
  • Stay informed about updates to regulations and best practices in vision and drug testing.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assisting diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
