Medical Assistant
Job description
- MA duties: Rooming patients, taking full set of vitals, blood pressure, injections/immunizations, non stress tests (NST's), POC testing (INR checks, drug screens, preg tests, etc), medication reconciliation, medical history, submitting all information into EPIC, flipping rooms, stocking rooms
- Assisting in minor procedures: Pap smears, ultrasounds, biopsies, gyno exams, etc.
- Will not be assigned a specific Provider, must be okay with rotating and working with different Providers
- Can expect to room about 10-15 patients/day
- Inbound/Outbound calls: Following up on test results, medication refills, etc. Can expect about 10 calls/shift
- Will be working in "inbaskets" in EPIC- Scheduling, answering patient questions, sending messages to Providers
M-F 8am-5pm
